I am currently a PhD student in quantum information theory at Delft University of Technology in the Netherlands, advised by Barbara Terhal. I’m interested in quantum algorithms and quantum complexity, especially in the setting of quantum many-body physics. In particular, I work on algorithms that (approximately) solve optimization problems involving fermions, and study the complexity of these problems. Previously, I studied (theoretical) physics at Delft University of Technology and at the University of Cambridge. You can reach me at: maarten [dot] stroeks [at] gmail [dot] com.
